The Staff
Rev. Frederick J. DeRasmo, Jr.

Pastor Rick has led our staff and congregation since 1991. He is a graduate of Upsala College and The Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina. As administrative pastor, he oversees all areas of congregational life and provides spiritual leadership through strong preaching and involvement in church activities. Born and raised in New Jersey, Rick has a great sense of humor, is an avid New York sports fan, and loves to cook. He, his wife Karen, and son Joseph reside in Landenberg, PA.
Vicar Melissa Lemons

Melissa Lemons is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary in New York. She is currently a student at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. She joined the staff in July, 2009 and will be serving a one year internship at St. Michael. Melissa will be involved in all areas of the congregation's ministry, giving special focus in the areas of education, community outreach, youth ministry, and visitation. She resides in Kennett Square along with her two cats, Roli Poly and Sofi..
Linda Lorgus

Linda has a Bachelor of Music Degree from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. She served most recently at Westminster Presbyterian Church, West Chester, where she served as Principal Organist and Chancel Choir Accompanist, Associate Music Director, Handbell Director, and Director/Accompanist for Youth Choir and Men's Chorus. In addition, she is a ringing member of the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble, and accompanist for the Brandywine Valley Chorale. Here at St. Michael, Linda manages and coordinates the music ministry, is the worship organist, conducts the Chancel Choir, Matins Choir, Children's Choir, and Handbell Choir. She also organizes all special music throughout the year.
Bonnie McDonald

In most instances Bonnie will be the first experience of the friendliness of St. Michael, whether by telephone, email, or stopping by the church office. Bonnie handles all the clerical needs of the Pastoral Team and many of the leaders of our committees. Have a question about a St. Michael activity or special event? Bonnie most surely will have the answer or know which direction to point you.
Lyra Camacho

Professional child care is provided on Sunday mornings during the worship services. Children from infant to four years old are welcomed to the nursery where a caring, pleasant environment is provided.
