Week 5 Question

During the Lenten season we are calling upon all members of St. Michael to join together in prayer and reflection as we discern the future direction of our mission and ministry as a congregation. Each week, a new question will be introduced. Please give daily thought to the question. Below are prayers to begin your reflection time each day. At the end of the week, please write your thoughts on the contact form provided at the bottom of his page. Your responses will be sent directly to the Survey Committee. Thank you for participating in this endeavor.
Question #5
What do you think St. Michael should be known for?
Daily Reflection Prayers
Monday: "Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right". Proverbs 20:11 As others observe St. Michael, dear Lord… what deeds are associated with our name? Amen.
Tuesday: Since we would have St. Michael known as a positive presence, Lord, help me to define the qualities that represent our church to the community. Are these the qualities for which we should be known? Amen.
Wednesday: As the Holy Spirit provides us with the desire to show compassion, hospitality, social justice and unity, dear Father, show me how St. Michael exhibits these acts of faith in the community. Amen.
Thursday: When I talk with people about my church, Lord, what programs do they inquire about at St. Michael? Amen.
Friday: As we grow as a faith community, Father, what are the new challenges that you would have us undertake? Amen.
Saturday: It's not that St. Michael seeks recognition out in the community, Lord, but that Your message of grace and salvation is known. We give You the glory and praise. "Thine is the glory, risen, conqu'ring Son: endless is the vict'ry Thou o'er death has won!" Amen.
