50th Anniversary Benefit Concert
On Sunday, March 1 at 4:00 p.m. St. Michael hosted a special Benefit Concert to lift up and support the work of the Kennett Food Cupboard. The Choir of the Episcopal Church of the Advent, The Brandywine Valley Chorale, The Choir of Community of Love Lutheran Church, Oxford, and the St. Michael Chancel and Handbell Choirs all performed several of their signature pieces. These choirs also came together, more than 80 strong, stirring the crowd with several compositions giving thanks and praise to God. Special guest soloists included Kaye Tyson, Joseph Buches, and violinist Erica Milbourne. All participants in the event have had some special association with St. Michael during the past 50 years. More than 200 people attended the event which raised over $1,350 through a free-will offering.
