Women’s Ministries
"The Women of St. Michael" has become a well-established and vital ministry of our church. The "Dawn" group meets the first Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM. The meetings are open to all women, whether they are church members or not. The goals of the group are to foster personal Christian growth and understanding, to provide service to the community and the congregation, and to offer fellowship opportunities for women.
The fostering of Christian growth and understanding is met by the offering of a Bible study each month on a selected topic led by a group member. Each month there is a service project which in the past has included:
- Donating specific purchased items to a needy organization
- Crafting items to be delivered as gifts
- Assembling wreaths to decorate the church for Christmas
- Fundraising to support the building of church playground equipment
- Visiting and "entertaining" at area nursing and special care homes
Fellowship opportunities are plentiful for the group, including social outings, and an annual picnic. The monthly meeting provides opportunities for the sharing of laughter and the building of friendships during both the meeting and the refreshment time afterwards.
